Communications to the area are good. There is an Intercity railway station at Truro, the mostly dual carriageway A30 (about 17 miles) joins with the M5 at Exeter, there is a cross channel ferry service at Plymouth and regional airports at Newquay (28m) and Plymouth.

Description
“The Home” was built in 1872 by the benevolent Fox family of the Penjerrick Estate and was used as a convalescent home until 1919. After that it was used as a farmhouse for many years and as a naval billet in the Second World War. The present owner purchased the property in 1962 and it opened as a hotel in 1965. There are 11 letting bedrooms in the main house together with the lounge, sun lounge and dining room. Attached to the main house is the Coach House and here there are a further 7 bedrooms.
